Hailing from Nowra, I've hijacked the triple j airwaves, playing nothing but slappers from fellow Indigenous artists. From old unk singing round the fire to the lil cuzzo spitting fire, Blak Out serves more heat than nan’s curried sausages!
This month is Ausmusic Month, and 2021 has been a great year for Blak music. I'm pumped to be celebrating the mob by hosting the National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) on Blak Out from 5-7pm AEDT this Sunday 14 November.
Playing out simultaneously across triple j, Double J and triple j Unearthed , the NIMAs will feature musical performances, crosses to community, and interviews around what’s been a huge year for First Nations music.
So join me via the ABC listen app for a Blak Out special featuring exclusive performances, mad yarns, and whole lot of trophies celebrating the best in First Nations music.
