Indie venues (still) need our help |
| London’s independent venues are in crisis mode. Breaking even was tough enough to start with. Current circumstances mean that many are fighting for survival. We’ve already covered the dire situation south London LGBTQ+ stronghold the Royal Vauxhall Tavern finds itself in (please give generously), and now the Union Chapel has increased its fundraising goal to the giddy-but-necessary sum of £100,000. To help it achieve this, the Highbury institution is planning on launching a new digital channel that’s kicking off with an exclusive gig by one Laura Marling. Up your alley? Find out more. Not up your alley? Donate anyway, you big jabroni. |
