A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the BizBash Plan-A-Thon Last November, we went into the vault to bring back one of BizBash’s most beloved networking events, the Plan-A-Thon. Unburdened by financial or logistical limitations, participants were tasked with creating their dream events within a two-hour time frame. As the teams engaged in intense brainstorming sessions, strategies were devised, logistics were mapped out, and visionary concepts were born. Watch now!
NATIONAL: CORT, a furniture rental and transition services provider, announced that CORT Events customers can now access its newest products through its virtual planning experience powered by Allseated. Through its event lifecycle platform, which provides 3D virtual walkthroughs and space planning technology, Allseated enables CORT Events’ customers to utilize its latest collection, which brings the outdoors inside with organic, natural environments and warm and neutral tones. DENVER: The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa announced the appointment of Jana Smith as the luxury landmark’s first female general manager. In her new role, Smith will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the 241-room hotel and its 300-person team. She joins The Brown Palace team following a nearly two-year stint as general manager at the Colorado Springs Marriott. ORLANDO, FLA.: Fans of Netflix’s original series Stranger Things will be able to have a real-life Hawkins, Ind., experience at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights, in a brand-new haunted house. The experience will begin Sept. 1 at Universal Orlando Resort and Sept. 7 at Universal Studios Hollywood. In the house, visitors, alongside characters from the series, will face the supernatural villain Vecna in a heart-pounding experience while traveling through some of the show’s most iconic scenes, including Hawkins Lab, Creel House, and Vecna’s Mind Lair. SEATTLE: Theatrical experience Teatro ZinZanni and the luxury Lotte Hotel Seattle announced a new residency. Opening this fall and running into 2024, the holiday run of performances, which take place during Teatro ZinZanni’s 25th anniversary, promises an opulent, world-class experience in The Grand Ballroom in the hotel's Sanctuary. Guests can purchase single tickets, and groups of more than 12 can reserve tickets online.
