If you’re feeling nostalgic for Maine’s grocers after the news that Tozier’s Market would close another location, there may be hope. Locally owned food markets are still prevalent in some corners of the state.

A volunteer group wants to rebuild Maine’s fiber economy. Bringing back fiber processing is one goal. Finding uses for it outside of textiles is another the group is pursuing.
