For many, the start of a new month signals a chance to set manageable goals for personal improvement. Rather than aiming for lofty resolutions that often fade quickly, consider setting achievable goals that can be sustained throughout the year and beyond.
Here's our step-by-step plan to setting better, more manageable goals:
Write your goals down on a piece of paper. Be positive. Focus on what you can do, rather than what you won't do. Underneath each goal, write why this goal is important to you. What's motivating you? Ask yourself how important each goal is to you? This can help prioritize your goals. How confident are you that you can achieve each goal? If you don't feel confident, scale down your goal to a target that you're confident is achievable. If you have more than one goal, consider whether working on multiple goals at once will be distracting or energizing. Finally, think about how you’re going to achieve your goals. Your chances of success are much greater if you set SMART goals.
"This is a great way for food lovers to improve health and loose weight! I was in a real food rut, always buying and making the same healthy-ish meals. These recipes are tasty and simple, and I can't believe how much I'm enjoying trying new dishes, shopping for new fresh ingredients and even cooking again. Plus my BP, BMI and LBS have lowered to healthy, sustainable ranges without any calorie-counting or medications" - Alan L.
