Today is Giving Tuesday—a day for global generosity, when everyone is encouraged to give what they can (in time, money, or effort) and celebrate the practice of giving.
In honor of this wonderful day, we’re doing something new. Have you heard of a walk-a-thon, where people walk to raise money for a good cause? Well, we’re holding a brain-a-thon—where you can train your brain to raise money for a good cause. |
| Here’s how the brain-a-thon works: Train your brain with BrainHQ to earn stars. The stars you earn are added to those everyone else using BrainHQ earns.
If everyone works together to reach a combined total of one million stars by December 25, 2022, Posit Science will donate $5,000 to Pets for the Elderly, an organization that helps older adults adopt and take care of pets. |
Want to do more? Reach two million stars and we will donate $10,000! |
| We will send you regular updates on the brain-a-thon and your collective progress! |
Why did we choose Pets for the Elderly? Many older adults live on a tight budget, making it hard to adopt a new pet or continue caring for a beloved one. But pet ownership can provide terrific benefits for older people, supporting both cognitive and emotional health. Pets for the Elderly helps older adults pay for adoption fees, veterinary costs, and pet food so that they can enjoy the companionship that pets can provide. |

"When we play with and take care of our pets, those activities stimulate our brains in important ways and contribute to brain health. What’s more, giving and receiving love from a pet—everything from those belly rubs for your dog to when your cat curls up in your lap—stimulates social and emotional centers in the brain that are important for overall brain health.”
