After a few years of change, Kidquake is ready to settle back down at home, just bigger and with a broader audience than before. Donate today to help Kidquake return to its San Francisco Public Library roots while continuing to serve thousands more around the Bay via streams and videos.

Give Now
Over 17 years, Kidquake has hosted 18,000 students. With live programs, as well as streaming and videos, we can maximize our impact by reaching three times as many students in Oakland, San Jose, the Peninsula, and beyond.
“When my students meet authors that look like they do, they view themselves as authors in training. It helps them embrace writing as an expression of thoughts, ideas, and themselves the rest of the year.”
—Ms. C, 1st Grader Teacher
We’ve doubled down on our commitment to diverse representation, bringing a wide variety of authors and educators to our BIPOC-majority students. Teachers and students know: Kidquake fosters formative experiences with stories and storytelling, as well as issues of identity, cultural diversity, and inclusion.

Jack Boulware and Jane Ganahl, cofounders
PS. Kidquake is a powerful tool to help young K-5 students who are struggling the most post-pandemic. Donate today.
