Good evening The Easter bank holidays will be different again this year. Although we are not locked in our homes like we were last year, there are still significant restrictions on our freedoms. That means that while we can see friends and family, we can’t go into people’s homes to enjoy an Easter lunch as we might have done in years gone by. The warm weather earlier in the week encouraged people to meet outside but the danger is that cooler temperatures forecast over the weekend may mean that some folk are tempted to gather inside their homes rather than grabbing a few blankets and staying outdoors. After all, a couple of hours won’t matter, will it? Yes it will. We now know enough about Covid-19 to understand that the virus thrives in confined spaces and will be passed on by people who may have no symptoms at all to those who could become seriously ill. So try to keep away from temptation for a while longer. Then we can all enjoy a summer with a clear conscience.
