Hi Friend, Happy Memorial Day! As many of us spend the day off with our families, I want to take a moment to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have lost family members in the line of duty—and today we recognize their loss. To those Americans, we say thank you for your sacrifice as well. Without the bravery of those who have given their lives in service, our nation—and our entire world—would look very different. May we never forget the blood they shed for the sake of freedom. Click the video below to watch my Memorial Day message. Busy at Work In case you missed it, this was another busy week in Washington! Last Wednesday, I introduced the Building Credit Access for Veterans Act to expand reliable access to housing for our nation’s veterans and current servicemembers. No veteran should have to worry about whether they’ll have a roof over their head when their service ends. This bill will expand their access to credit, opening doors to financial options including mortgages. And last Thursday, the Senate unanimously passed my resolution designating the month of May as Older Americans Month. As ranking member of the Senate Aging Committee, it’s my honor to celebrate the contributions our seniors have made to this nation. Thanks for supporting and keeping up with my work.
