In 2018 the Haute Route Cycling Series will make two stopovers in Italy; firstly for the inaugural Haute Route Stelvio (June 8th to 10th) a month before the summer’s major one-day Sportives, but also in September for the revamped Haute Route Dolomites (September 21st to 23rd). Each of these 3-day events taking place from a Friday to a Sunday will consist of two classic mountain stages and an uphill individual time trial. Both events are guaranteed to be memorable; on the menu for riders are a host of renowned cols, breath-taking landscapes, high altitudes and a unique culture that is sure to be appreciated by all. With the Stelvio event being based in Bormio and the Dolomites edition revolving around the town of Predazzo, both locations are accessible by international airport and boast a wide variety of accommodation options to suit one and all. You will get to stay in the same location for three days and appreciate the local culture through the best restaurants, markets and outdoor activities. |

HAUTE ROUTE STELVIO – CONQUERING THE GIANT |

Immerse yourself in the legend of the Passo Stelvio from the 8th to 10th June 2018! Come and conquer one of the most famous cols in cycling! Towering over the valleys below, the summit of the Stelvio at 2,758m stands as the second highest paved mountain pass in Europe. Time-Trial day on Sunday will see riders set off from the charming and pedestrianised town centre to take on the 36 bends of the ascent from Bormio. |

The other two stages will cover numerous famous cols in the region such as the remarkable ascents up the legendary Mortirolo and Gavia. Riders will get to discover or rediscover the most famed cols in Italian cycling in the space of just 3 days. On top of being situated at the foot of the Stelvio, the town of Bormio is easily accessible from the international airports in Milan. The quaint mountain town is home to a host of thermal baths and outdoor sports activities for the whole family to enjoy over a long weekend. Ready to conquer the giant? |

HAUTE ROUTE DOLOMITES – WRITE YOUR OWN PIECE OF HISTORY |

Returning as a 3-day event in 2018, the Haute Route Dolomites will retrace the footsteps of the legends of the Giro. Taking place from Friday September 21st to Sunday the 23rd riders will get to enjoy the late summer sun and empty Italian mountain roads. Registered as UNESCO World Heritage site, the Dolomites constitute one of the most recognisable landscapes in the world. |
