Harvey Norman customers have launched a class action against the retailer for selling them "worthless" extended warranties, arguing the warranties gave customers no extra protections on top of those already provided under consumer laws.

Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank and Treasury have started a three-year work plan to look at opportunities in digital currency to lift the efficiency, transparency and resilience of wholesale markets through tokenised money and new settlement infrastructure

And a leading figure at Atlassian has taken a shot at Amazon after the e-commerce titan declared an end to the work-from-home era for its employees.
