Question of the Week Do you use a tablet computer in your law practice? Are smaller, lighter laptop computers and larger smartphone screens making tablets obsolete? San Diego solo Jeff Bennion asks that question this week at Above the Law, citing reports of flagging iPad sales. “Unless you travel on planes a lot or are constantly out of the office for extended periods of time where you have to read a bunch of legal documents, it really doesn’t make sense anymore to invest in a tablet,” Bennion writes. As for himself, he decided to invest in a $1,200 laptop with touchscreen capabilities rather than a $600 tablet and a $600 laptop.
