Happy Thanksgiving Click here to hear about the Scott Family’s Thanksgiving This year has been full of highs and lows. Despite the many challenges of 2020, I am still thankful for so many things. I am always thankful for the opportunity to serve as your United States Senator, and I am grateful for the freedom that comes with living in the best country on earth. But freedom would not be possible if not for the men and women who serve this nation. Thank you to our servicemembers everywhere. As a member of a large military family, I have seen first-hand the sacrifices that our service members and their families endure especially during times like these. Today, as you gather together with family and loved ones, I ask that you join me in saying a prayer of thanksgiving and safety for our military men and women who are away from home this holiday season. Without their devotion and bravery, we could not enjoy the blessings of liberty. I also want to thank the first responders, doctors, nurses, store clerks and everyone serving on the frontlines during this pandemic. This year has been challenging for everyone, and I am thankful for the men and women who are serving our communities. As you gather with friends and family, please remember to follow public health guidelines to protect you and your loved ones. Though this time of year looks different from most, we are reminded to stop and reflect on the blessings that we have as Americans. I hope that this holiday season brings you joy, lots of laughter, and much comfort during these trying times. Happy Thanksgiving, and may God continue to bless the United States of America! Sincerely, |
