Thank you South Australia!

South Australians have shown amazing community spirit, with thousands of ABC Adelaide listeners digging deep for our South Australia Gives appeal supporting Foodbank. With your help, over 110,000 meals were donated. What an incredible result!

Thank you to everyone who generously shared cans of food, rice and pasta and donated online to help end hunger this holiday season.

If you missed out on dropping something off, Foodbank are collecting your donations right throughout December.

Torrens Transit bus driver Amy Hermann has a strong claim for Adelaide's most festive bus driver.  Every shift she decorates her bus in lights and tinsel, but says it's all worth it to see passengers' faces as they hop on.

Adelaide gets ready with Sonya
As the fire danger season begins, Afternoons’ Sonya Feldhoff recently headed for the hills for a special bush fire awareness program in Lobethal.  Sonya was kitted up with full fire fighting equipment to better understand what CFS crews experienced in the devastating 2019 bush fires.

If you are travelling over the holidays, remember to check your local ABC frequency and stay connected to your local ABC radio station for emergency information including warnings and updates.

The ABC Emergency website is a great resource for useful tips, incidents that may be close to you and to find your local ABC AM/FM frequency.
