After their Silverstone clash, it was no real surprise that they’d come to blows again – especially after Verstappen left Hamilton no space at the Roggia chicane on the opening lap. Quite how he expected Lewis to leave a gap at Rettifilo I’m not too sure – and the inevitable collision has amped-up their duel yet further. Were the stewards right to hand out a penalty? However, in this case, it’s absolutely worth laying down a marker to show them that there are consequences for their actions. Otherwise, we risk this title race ending up with another Prost/Senna-style ending… |
