Hail to the victors

Good morning from Om ... wait. Not Omaha. I'm back in Baton Rouge.

Almost forgot I live here.

Anyway, I am back in Baton Rouge and with our intrepid LSU baseball beat writer Koki Riley and photographer Michael Johnson, we were both out at Alex Box Stadium on Wednesday night for the LSU baseball championship celebration.

They lined up all seven of LSU's previous NCAA baseball trophy and had the eighth on a pedestal behind them, placed there by popular senior outfielder Josh Pearson. There were speeches and fireworks galore, as the Tigers and their loyal fans headed into the offseason with the players reminicing about their championship run in Omaha.

I've got a column on the evening's festivities. Michael Johnson gives us one of his popular photo galleries.

Remember to check out Store.NOLA.com to purchase 2025 championship posters and pre-order a copy of our book about LSU's championship run, "Great Eight."

Thanks as well for reading and subscribing. We're going to keep up with the transfer portal news in the offseason just like we kept up about the 2025 season, so stick and stay right here.

Until next time,

Scott Rabalais
