You’re hot then you’re cold: Denver’s double-digit dive

This summer has been a record-breaking scorcher, to say the least. Thankfully as we inch closer to fall, temperatures are finally beginning to drop in most parts of the country. But no matter where you live, we doubt you’ll see as drastic a dip as Denver did this week.

On Monday, September 7, Denver’s temperature plunged from a high of 93 degrees to 32 degrees by Tuesday morning. The result was the ultimate weather whiplash: Sweltering heat one day and freezing snow the next. Strangely enough, temperatures will apparently climb as high as 80 degrees this weekend before settling down as the month progresses. Come on, 2020, give us a break already! Going from hot to cold so rapidly can have disastrous effects on structures and technology.
