H. Gavin Long has been appointed to the Consumer Attorneys of California's (CAOC) 2017 Board.

 

He received the appointment by a vote of the organization's Executive Committee and will be sworn in during CAOC Event.

 

Long said he is grateful for the appointment and is eager to get working on keeping the courts "user friendly" for trial lawyers.

 

"I also want to get involved in helping push through legislation that is going to protect consumers and their rights," he said.

 

 

CAOC is a professional organization that represents the interests of 39 million Californians. Its member-attorneys stand for plaintiffs seeking accountability for negligence and wrongdoing.

 

Among the consumers CAOC represents are victims of dangerous or defective products; those who suffer discrimination because of age, gender, disability or race; those injured or killed by another's negligent acts; workers who have been fired unjustly from their jobs; individuals affected by unscrupulous insurance companies; and patients who have been harmed or injured instead of healed by medical professionals or hospitals.
