Kadi Cole began her career as a registered nurse. Now, she’s one of the world’s foremost leaders in helping organizations navigate healthy gender dynamics. The two may seem disconnected, but it turns out they have a meaningful through line: being able to rip the physical or metaphorical Band-Aid while simultaneously communicating care, love, and authenticity. On a recent episode of Being Human, Cole joined host Steve Cuss to share wisdom about people and power. She sheds light on the ways that women too quickly disqualify themselves from leadership positions in which they could thrive—not through moral failing but because they believe themselves to be incapable. In doing so, Cole says, "they actually prevent themselves from growing into everything God has called them to be." Cole shares wisdom and advice for pushing past that place and growing into all that God has called us to be. May we grow in courage and strength as we consider the opportunities God has set before us.
