Mask supplier to invest $100M in Greenville plant

Fitesa, a Brazilian diaper and feminine product supplier, is expected to invest $100 million into its Simpsonville Plant, creating 40 jobs, according to an agreement passed by Greenville County Council Tuesday. The company plans to install an N95 fiber production line in January.

United Community Bank opening first Midlands branches

United Community Bank, headquartered in Georgia with executive offices in Greenville, will open locations in Columbia and Lexington on Dec. 14. Both locations are former Southern First Bank locations, acquired after United Community Bank's merger with Three Shores Bankcorp.

AFL receives six technology patents

Spartanburg fiber optic cable manufacturer AFL was awarded six patents during the last quarter for innovations in the connectivity, test and inspection, and fiber optic cable fields.
