| John, Ah, Julia Child. An inspiration for home cooks everywhere. Tonight and tomorrow millions of home cooks will try to channel their inner Julia, preparing for a feast. But beyond sharing a meal, Thanksgiving gives us a chance to express gratitude for all the good in our lives. I have so much to be grateful for. First and foremost, I’m grateful for you, a cherished member of the KQED community. Throughout the past 20 months, our region — and our world — has experienced a lot of uncertainty. Thanks to member support, KQED has been there every step of the way, bolstering our community. I hope that in some small way KQED’s award-winning news, thoughtful documentaries, magnificent arts and culture coverage and beloved children’s programming have provided guidance and lifted your spirits. I’m also grateful for your participation as a KQED viewer, listener and reader. In our reporting and programming, we aspire to create conversations that lead to stronger, more empathetic communities. Your conversations with friends and thoughtful responses to our stories make that possible. Thank you for being an indispensable member of the KQED community.
| Sincerely, | | Michael J. Isip President & CEO |

P.S. In the spirit of the season, I hope you’ll join as a KQED member by making a special gift to support the KQED programs that you’re grateful for all year long.
