Covering Stains on a Quilt
I bought an old quilt at a yard sale. It had several stains around the edges that would not come out. I quilt myself, so I searched through my material and found very similar scraps and one identical.
Make a Thanksgiving Scrapbook
Put together an individual Thanksgiving scrap/cookbook, since this holiday is all about cooking and gathering together with family and friends. Mine would be filled with photos of people gathered at the table for dinner on different Thanksgivings.
Use Sponge for Child's Paint Holder
Cut an opening in the center of a sponge and insert a paint or glue container in the hole. The sponge will absorb any drips and will also keep the container from tipping and spilling.
Decorating Clothing with Found Fancy Buttons
I search thrift shops for clothing with fancy buttons (buttons are expensive). I buy an article of clothing for 1.00 or 2.00, take it home, remove buttons and sew on a plain blouse or the pockets of jeans.
