| Meet Riley Hoben  Seven-year-old Riley’s life began quite a bit different than most. It began on a cottage road, delivered by her father.
Soon, Riley’s sugars were dropping. If they continued to drop, Kim was told Riley would begin to have seizures. Luckily, the hospital was able to call a neighbour, a retired neo-natal nurse to come and administer a needle to get her sugars back up, saving her life.

| This month, the kids are having fun celebrating winter! During recess, students and teachers alike are building snowmen, tobogganing and jumping around in the snow. They'll be sad to see it melt this spring. |

| Don’t toss those broken crayons! Colouring and drawing with crayons is a great tool for developing fine motor skills, but crayons always seem to break. Keep the broken pieces, as colouring with small crayons help kids develop a more mature grasp and strengthen the small muscles of their hands.” |

| Grandview Kids Research Associate, Dr. Meghann Lloyd, is recruiting 3-5 year old children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for a motor skill intervention study in Oshawa. All children receive 12 weeks of intervention, 2 hours/week. The motor skill intervention is an instructional play-based program. |
