ChatGPT's new search tool takes on Google and Perplexity

ChatGPT Search aims to be your AI alternative to Google Search

ChatGPT Search is the second new search feature launched by OpenAI this week, with this latest one bringing real-time data sourced from the internet in response to your inquiries — delivered in a conversational style.

“ChatGPT Search appears to be both OpenAI’s answer to Perplexity and a shot across Google’s bow,” Digital Trends reported.

According to ChatGPT maker OpenAI, the new search function will give you “fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more” ...

It’s the 11th generation of Amazon’s basic e-reader, which launched in 2007

Amazon recently announced a bunch of new Kindle devices, and in amongst them was the latest version of its basic model, which now comes in a matcha color alongside the regular black option.

In its hands-on review, Digital Trends praised the new Amazon Kindle (2024) for its new, brighter display, faster page turning, and a great battery life of around six weeks. The new Matcha color proved a real hit, too.

The compact device comes with 16GB of storage and tips the scales at 5.56 ounces (158 grams). It costs $130 without ads or $100 with ads. But take care using it near water as it’s not waterproof ...

Venom 3 set to win weekend box office, but there's a battle for second

Tom Hanks' new movie Here faces competition from a horror flick

Venom: The Last Dance is set to win the North American box office for the second weekend in a row, with Boxoffice Pro forecasting earnings of between $17 million and $23 million for the sci-fi action movie after raking in $51 million on its debut weekend.

Eyeing second spot is a new drama starring Tom Hanks called Here. Move over Spotify: Nintendo now has its own music app

If you can't get enough of Nintendo game soundtracks, then Nintendo Music is the app for you

Just a few weeks after unveiling the quirky Alarmo alarm clock, Nintendo has surprised us again with the launch of its own music app, Digital Trends reported.

Nintendo Music is free to download (Android and iOS), though access requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

The app is aimed at diehard Nintendo fans as it offers little more than the soundtracks from Nintendo’s huge library of games. While you can select tracks individually, Nintendo Music also offers playlist options that sort music by character (including songs performed by characters, like KK Slider in Animal Crossing: New Horizons), by mood, or by whether it’s a track in a boss battle or menu screen ...
