Google reportedly won't renew Pentagon drone deal amid worker protest

Google will let the Project Maven drone contract with the Pentagon expire next year, sources say, in light of protest from more than 4,000 employees. Leaked emails reveal Google's chief scientist for artificial intelligence has downplayed the scope of the contract, which includes development of a Google Earth-like surveillance system.
