| | | | Future of the web It’s the start of March and, as you've seen a couple times in this newsletter this week, we’ll be delving into Web3. Some quick definitions to help you understand what we mean: Web3 is commonly understood to be the third iteration of the web, with a focus on decentralization via blockchain technologies and democratization of ownership. (But there's also plenty of debate about that.) Web 1.0 was the launch of the world wide web, and Web 2.0 was the user-generated web, aka the rise of social media.
