| Wildwood Greens Welcomes Golfing with the Wolves 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Wolfpack Wrestling Family, Friends, and Supporters,
Our Registration continues to fill up for our 2nd Annual Golfing With Wolves Golf Classic scheduled for Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Wildwood Green Golf Club, located in North Raleigh at 3000 Ballybunion Way, Raleigh, NC 27613. On-site check-in will be from 11 AM to 12:15 PM with a 1 PM shotgun start.
We have lots of detailed Golf Classic information in this email, including key deadlines, and details for Friday's Golf, so be sure to read the whole email.
We continue to have great response on our registrations and sponsorships so far, with over 75 people already registered. Our goal is to hit over 100 golfers, with a cap of 120. Last year, we had close to 100 golfers join us for a great day on the course, where golfers had opportunities to meet our coaches and Wolfpack Wrestling Club Senior Athletes in a very relaxed (well, maybe a little competitive) atmosphere. We will keep registration open until we fill all 120 spots, up to our on-site registration on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Wildwood Green Golf Club.
We expect to PACK the course, hand out some great gift bags and prizes, and celebrate the start of a new wrestling season with our PACK. We have many of our Regional Training Center Athletes, Past NCAA Champions, All-Americans, ACC Champions, and members of our Championship Teams from many decades already registered, and we look forward to you joining us in sponsoring and playing golf (or driving the cart) with our wrestlers, coaches, alumni, family, friends, and fans of Wolfpack Wrestling! Oh, yes, and the winning team will each go home with THE COVETED RED JACKET!
Our Golfing With Wolves Classic is an annual event to kick off our wrestling season, and connect our Wolfpack Wrestling Community by providing the opportunity to spend a fun afternoon with Wolfpack Wrestling wrestlers, coaches, alumni, family, and friends and fans of wrestling. We want this to become one of our WWC’s primary fund-raising activities for our Wolfpack Wrestling Club Regional Training Center, with proceeds helping to cover training expenses for WWC Resident Athletes to enable the WWC to continue having top international wrestlers live and train in Raleigh and regularly compete for World and Olympic Championships. REGISTERED GOLFER You will play in a 4 person best ball scramble, so if you're not a good golfer, rely on those on your team who are. You can choose to register your own team or register individually and let our committee pair you with other golfers or WWC Resident Athletes. The golf registration fee is $150 per golfer (or $550 if you register as a foursome) and includes cart, greens fees, shirt, gift bag, 2 raffle tickets, snacks and drinks on the course, and awards dinner after golf. If you don’t play golf, drive the cart, sit back, and provide golf advice, & enjoy a day on the beautiful Wildwood Green Golf Course talking about wrestling and what a great golf shot your teammate just hit.
