Latest COVID–19 Update In line with advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer, the Victorian Government has announced that metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will return to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions from 11.59pm on Wednesday 8 July 2020. A number of businesses and facilities will be required to close, including beauty and personal care services, cultural and entertainment venues and community facilities. Cafes and restaurants will return to take-away and delivery only. Restrictions will be in place until 11:59pm on Wednesday 19 August 2020. $534 million Business Support Fund The Victorian Government has announced a $534 million support package for businesses impacted by the coronavirus lockdown. The package includes: $5,000 grants to be made available for 80,000 eligible businesses in metropolitan Melbourne. A $30 million fund for hospitality businesses A $26 million mental health support package for small business A $40 million fund to help regional tourism businesses to cover refunds and marketing $20 million for small businesses in Melbourne's CBD More information here Register your interest in applying for the $5,000 Grant here Tax Time Essentials Information to help you business prepare your tax returns at: https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Lodging-your-tax-return/In-detail/Tax-essentials/ Civic Plaza Works to create the new plaza in Alfrieda Street continue and is currently focused on feature paving. The detailed herringbone pattern will add texture and interest to the new plaza. A new mural has also been painted on the substation building at the northern end of the plaza to add colour and complement the colour palette applied to the low walls within St Albans Square. Road closure Alfrieda St On the 3 August Alfrieda Street will be closed to traffic during the evening to allow new asphalt paving. The road will be closed from 4pm and reopen at 5.00am. There will be traffic controllers to redirect cars and pedestrians. Buses northbound and southbound will be detoured. Translating & Interpreting Service Do you need telephone or on-site interpreting?
