Good morning from the GMSA anchor desk! Well my Monday started with a splash. Minutes before the start of GMSA I spilled an entire cup of ice water all over the anchor desk! Justin jumped into action, grabbing a role of paper towels and helping me clean up the mess just in time for the start of the show. My hero! David is in for Mark again today and tomorrow, and Justin is in for Mike all week. You know the fabulous feeling when you see an old friend after many years and you effortlessly connect again? This weekend we had old friends over who we haven’t seen in more than a decade and that’s exactly what happened. Really special was seeing my daughter Nicole and Sloan reconnect. From bows to buns still two peas in a pod (pic below!) The vigil and memorial come as Andre McDonald sits behind bars at the Bexar County Jail, charged with murder and tampering with evidence in his wife's death. Police investigating after decomposing body found in 'wrecked' house Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman whose decomposing remains were found in a Southwest Side home Sunday as suspicious in nature. Police were called to a home in the 5900 block of Stoneybrook Drive around 6 p.m. after someone discovered the woman's body. When officers arrived at the house, they saw that a window had been broken in front of the home and smelled decomposition, a sergeant at the scene said. Lightning strike likely cause of house fire in Stone Oak Lightning struck a home in Stone Oak late Sunday night, causing a house fire on the city's far North Side, San Antonio firefighters said.
