Good morning! We hope you slept well. Mike is back after getting his youngest kiddo situated for the new school year. It’s good to have our morning fam back together, as always! Mike is hinting at a little relief from the heat. We’re talking only a few degrees but, hey, we’ll take it! My mega-lab, Truman, enjoyed his walk yesterday but it had to wait until 7 p.m. The sidewalks and pavement were just too hot beforehand. Leslie says she’s been logging more pool time to help beat the heat. It’s time for both of us to settle back into our normal routines. As of today, both of our kids have returned to college for the Fall semester. That Summer flew by! Five votes were needed to remove him from office.  Crews contain fuel spill after train derailment on SW Side Hazmat teams worked overnight to clean up a diesel fuel spill after a train derailed on the city's Southwest Side late Tuesday night, the San Antonio Fire Department said. Emergency crews were called to the tracks near South Brazos Street and Frio City Road just before 10 p.m. after roughly 12 cars derailed. Gunman jumps out from behind dumpster, shoots man, Balcones Heights police say The Balcones Heights Police Department is searching for a gunman after he jumped out from behind a dumpster and shot a man early Wednesday morning. Officers were called around 1:30 a.m. at the Terrace House Apartments in the 800 block of Gentleman Road in Balcones Heights after a man was shot in the chest while walking to his car with his girlfriend.
