Good morning from the GMSA anchor desk! David Sears is in for Mark Austin this morning. Mark is on the move -- literally. He's moving today, but don't worry, it's just across town. David has no plans this weekend (borrring) but he does plan to watch football. I will be attending the Soar gala at Morgan's Wonderland. It is such a wonderful event every year and a worthy cause. Justin Horne is in for Mike today. It's his baby daughter's birthday today, so I'm sure his weekend will include a party. If you didn't know, Justin wears funny themed socks because they're easier to match doing laundry. I joked a couple of days ago he needs stormy socks to bring us rain. Guess what I bought him and arrived yesterday??? Yep stormy socks -- so you are welcome for the rain! Next time I'll buy him socks with just rain and no lightning! San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood said the winds from a storm that roared through the city around 9:30 p.m. toppled a 100-foot section of scaffolding onto the 300 block of Martin Street. Three people were injured after they ran from a bus park bench, Hood said. They suffered minor injuries and were not hit by the scaffolding. WATCH: Sheriff's office supervisors interfere with DWI stop of fellow deputy Two supervisors with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office interfered with the DWI stop of a fellow supervisor last year, according to video obtained by the KSAT 12 Defenders. Sergeants Jerime Phoenix and Steven Calva were each suspended two days and ordered to go through remedial supervisor training following the September 2018 incident in the 8300 block of Interstate 10 West. New law may change aesthetics of communities across Texas The aesthetics of communities across Texas could be changing after a new law went into effect this month. HR 2439, signed by Gov. Greg Abbott, limits certain regulations adopted by cities that required the specific use of materials used during construction or renovations.
