Today's Headlines'How could you not pull over?': Cousin of woman killed in crash reacts to hit-and-run arrest The family of a road construction crew member who was killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash said they are not angry with the suspect, but are hurt that he never stopped to help. Samantha Owens said she was at home when she got several messages regarding her cousin, Tracie Sheppard, 29. Police identified Christopher Gauna as the driver who left the scene of the crash. He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and render aid. SAPD arrest murder suspect after fatal stabbing downtown San Antonio police arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing another man downtown. Ricardo Lawson, 44, was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. in connection with the fatal stabbing of Marcus McGee-Simms, 26. Officers were called to the 200 block of East Commerce Street and when they arrived, they found McGee-Simms with stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but later died. SAPD: Driver rolls vehicle, narrowly avoids being hit by train A driver involved in a crash narrowly escaped being hit by a train on the Northeast Side late Sunday night, San Antonio police said. The crash occurred just after 11 p.m. near Loop 410 and Seguin Road. According to police, the woman in her 40s drove off the road and over some train tracks.
