For John Jay High School graduate, Geneva Keaton, making the summit is what fuels her desire. Keaton has taken that desire to climb the tallest mountain on every continent. KSAT 12 caught up with Keaton and she shared her remarkable journey that has taken her around the world. Chances of storms to start the new week The first full week of summer is upon us! While it will definitely still be hot and muggy across South Texas, there will be a chance of showers and storms early in the week to potentially cool things off a little bit. That's because doctors need hours of extra training and a government waiver just to write a prescription for buprenorphine. A new federal bill just filed aims to cut that red tape and give doctors leeway. SAPD: Couple, child run from scene of T-bone crash San Antonio police are investigating after the driver of a black Honda T-boned a vehicle on the city's South Side and then ran from the scene with his passengers, including a child, abandoning the car. The crash occurred at West Vestal Place and Commercial Avenue around 10 p.m. Sunday. Police said the driver of the Honda blew through a stop sign, hitting a silver vehicle traveling southbound on Commercial Avenue. Cause of major fire at Schertz hotel under investigation Fire officials are investigating what caused a blaze at a Schertz hotel Saturday night. The fire broke out around 9 p.m. at the La Quinta Inn at Farm to Market Road 3009 and I-35. Officials said three individuals injured in the fire were taken to a hospital, treated and released.
