The Ministerial Agency for Criminal Investigations (AMIC) said it has detained an individual who was holding two bound and gagged hostages in the hills of Agua Priests in the state of Sonora. The proposition authored by state Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, and state Sen. Pat Fallon, R-Prosper, eliminates the possibility of Texas imposing an income tax unless the state changes its constitution again. San Antonio officer fired for using N-word gets job back San Antonio Police Department officer Tim Garcia, who was fired in January for using the N-word multiple times during the arrest of a black man, has been given his job back, a spokesperson with SAPD confirmed Tuesday. The spokesperson told KSAT that an arbitrator awarded Garcia his job back, reducing his termination to a 10-month suspension. SAPD Chief William McManus had argued for the indefinite suspension to stand during a two-day arbitration hearing in July. WATCH: Surveillance video captures violence escalating in West Side neighborhood during party Neighbors say violence from an argument at a party on the West Side over the weekend spilled into the middle of a residential street. Surveillance video showed a car speeding, aiming for a group of people standing in the middle of the street. The video appeared to show at least two people possibly being hit. A car could be seen reversing, hitting a truck and another parked vehicle. The audio in the video picked up screams of panic as the car revved up and sped down the street.
