SR-71 Touches Down At Farnborough

The U.S. Air Force Lockheed Martin SR-71 set a new speed record when it touched down at the 1974 Farnborough Airshow, flying from New York in a record-breaking 1 hr. 55 min. 42 secs. 1974 was also the first year the UK hosted international aerospace since it joined the European Union.
