HR chiefs are in high demand as companies increasingly want HR advising on business matters, although burnout is high in HR and turnover will likely increase as CEO changes pile up, writes Jess Yuen, a former chief people officer. Glassdoor published its 2022 Best Places to Work list and the top five US employers are, in order, Nvidia, HubSpot, Bain & Company, eXp Realty and Box. The ranking, based on employee insights and reviews, reveals corporate culture as a major influence on the happiness of employees.
Average pay climbed 4.7% annually to reach over $31 an hour but the Consumer Price Index, an inflation measure, was up 7% in December from the previous year, according to the US Department of Labor.
