| Reflex-Rol UK, fabricators of quality solar shading systems for architectural applications, have announced their sponsorship of Materials for Architecture 2018 - the event dedicated to better, more innovative, sustainable materials for the built environment. Extending the conversation of architectural materials to how they might offer shading solutions, Reflex-Rol’s solar shading system is ideally suited for buildings with overheating and glare issues such as: office environments, large glazed areas, hospitals, schools, private and public buildings. The systems maintain 20/20 vision outwards while helping to achieve carbon reduction levels to 2020 requirements using high capacity, micro-embossed, reflective foils that can be equal in performance to externally fitted blind systems.
CPD session, Solar shading: Do we need it? Can we do without it? will see Reflex-Rol UK’s materials researcher, Richard Chatham, discuss modern techniques and materials for solar shading on Thursday 26 April at 10:00am:
Richard Chatham Materials Researcher de Leeuw Ltd | Thu 26th April, 10:00-10:45 We look at the modern techniques and materials for Solar Shading. Traditional Bries Soleil, Curtains and Venetian blinds still work after a fashion but the modern techniques and materials can be aesthetically pleasing, indeed exciting in design but also put the user in active control, of light, of heat, of UV, indeed of the power of the sun without cutting you off from the outside world. From internationally specified use in Air Traffic Control Towers throughout the world to residential picture windows and beyond. Bespoke designs and installations to fit your design and application. Find out how.
