"I recently subscribed to TWA after not hearing it for several years. I can't begin to tell you what a comfort it is to hear your voice during these trying times, and have something to look forward to every day." –Cindy G. |

Dear friends, This season, we are grateful for the joy of simple things: loved ones, comfort food, daily routines, and of course, poetry. It's been a frightening and strange year, and it felt more important than ever to continue to offer The Writer's Almanac, a daily dose of literature and stability. As usual, donations from listeners like you constituted the primary way we covered our program costs: payments to poets; recording sessions at the studio; labor costs of research, writing, and audio editing; subscriptions to distribution channels, and more. This Thanksgiving season, we humbly ask that you give to The Writer’s Almanac. With your help, we are hoping that we will be able to keep producing the program at least through April 2021, and possibly beyond that. Those who donate will receive a 25% off discount code for our online store, as well as a new poem from Garrison about poetry & the pandemic. There are a number of ways you can donate: To make a one-time donation with a credit card online, you may browse through the donation options on this page and choose the amount that works for you. You can also log in to your PayPal account and then make a one-time or recurring gift via PayPal. If you prefer using checks, you may make one out to Prairie Home Productions and send here: TWA Donations 410 Oak Grove Street Minneapolis, Minnesota 55403 Thank you all for your support. We wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Signed, the staff of Prairie Home Productions: Kate Helen David Jason Theresa Our valued volunteers & Garrison Keillor |

"My daily listening to your Writer's Almanac has been even more calming, enlightening and enjoyable throughout this pandemic lockdown outside Melbourne, Australia." –Margaret G. "Your voice, familiar as our own after all these years, is especially important in these unfamiliar times. We are encouraged to remember those who have gone ahead, reminded of lines and rhymes gone dormant, and inspired to believe in possibility." –Carol D. |
