I want to personally thank you for changing my life. Your support of Mary Crowley Cancer Research allowed me to continue on a clinical trial that has given me back years of treasured time with my family.
I have been battling cancer since 2002 and, without Mary Crowley, I wouldn’t be here. I was referred to Mary Crowley Cancer Research in 2018 after my cancer recurred and enrolled on a gene-targeted clinical trial designed to combat my Leimosarcoma as a result of uterine cancer. This August, my CT scans showed an 84% decrease in tumor size since I began treatment! I am grateful for the ability to spend time with my family and look forward to cooking for them this holiday season. But I am not the only one who has benefited from your generosity. Your gift brought hope to me and so many other patients when we were out of options.
When I needed them most, Mary Crowley was there. The staff has treated me with love and respect every step of the way. With COVID-19 at the front of everyone’s mind, the giving focus for many has shifted elsewhere. Please realize that cancer is still here, and your support is needed now more than ever. The staff at Mary Crowley has made me feel like family as I undergo treatment. In this time of uncertainty, it is reassuring to have such stability and normalcy in my life.
Mary Crowley has been an integral part of not only my life, but the entire cancer community in North Texas and beyond for over 20 years.
