No Images? Click here No.5 Gender Equality and Girls Empowerment! You may have noticed that our new campaign, Give Her Five, launched last week. The campaign highlights the positive impact Skateistan is having on the lives of girls in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa. It is in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal No. 5, which is focused on gender equality and empowering girls. We believe girls have the right to be safe, play sport, go to school, be confident and become leaders. Through Give Her Five we want to show you how we are providing girls with these opportunities, whilst raising $100,000 to empower more girls around the world! PART ONE: SAFE SPACESSkate Schools are providing safe spaces for female equality! Over 1600 youth each week are provided with a safe space to skateboard and learn with Skateistan, and half of those are girls. Read the full story on Huck Magazine. PART TWO: PLAY SPORTHow skateboarding is giving girls a path to push! The girls skating at Skateistan use what they learn in the skatepark and the classroom to build confidence, form friendships, and think creatively about their futures. Read the full story on The Skateboard Mag. EXCLUSIVE LAUNCH: THUNDER x SKATEISTANWe're excited to announce the release of the Thunder x Skateistantruck.
