![]() It’s easy to assume everyone is eager and excited to get “back to normal” after the pandemic. But acclimating to our new normal is a lot more complicated if you’ve lost someone to COVID. As wonderful as it is to be vaccinated and back out in the world, it’s bittersweet when you’re heartbroken over a still-recent loss.
Last week, I spoke to widows and adult children who lost their loved ones to the virus, to see how they’re navigating things now. And because COVID-era grief really doesn’t resemble grief as we’ve experienced it before, I also got some advice from grief counselors on how to cope.
