Nkeng Joel from Buea, Cameroon is getting things underway for Earth Month! This year, Nkeng is organizing a large community clean-up at Downbeach in Limbe, Cameroon. After collecting waste from the clean up, Nkeng and his team will be using the waste to create eco-bricks that will be used to build schools and sanitation facilities in his community. In order to organize the clean up, Nkeng has completed numerous tasks including forming partnerships, writing letters to the local delegation, hosting webinars, and conducting a media tour across Buea. His project has been featured in local press, television, and media. Keep up the great work, Nkeng! |
