"The most remarkable finding was we had the highest engagement scores I've ever seen. We went from an average percentile ranking in the 60s to several months where we got 100% patient satisfaction on 'Would you recommend?'" — Linda Goodwin, MSN, MBA, FACHE, senior vice president of clinical operations, integration, and innovation, MercyOne

When Linda Goodwin, MSN, MBA, FACHE, brought a virtual nursing program to MercyOne Des Moines when she joined as chief nursing executive, she knew from experience that the outcomes would be only positive. The program, which launched shortly before the pandemic hit, not only has protected staff and patients during COVID-19, but also has helped decrease missed care, improved care quality, increased patient engagement scores, and much more.

Goodwin, now MercyOne's senior vice president of clinical operations, integration, and innovation, talked to me about how the virtual nursing program conveniently connects nurses, providers, specialists, and family members as needed. Find out more HERE.
