Ottawa Secured Back-to-Back Dubs at Home Against

Peterborough and Sudbury

It took the 67's 14 days to play their first game of 2022, starting the year off right with a 4-2 win over the Petes and a second 5-4 win against the Wolves.

Friday's Game Recap

Your Ottawa 67s won their first game of 2022 in a quiet celebration, with no fans present due to provincial COVID-19 restrictions.

Forward Brady Stonehouse had two goals, being the first member of the Barber Poles this season to record consecutive multi-goal games. Vinzenz Rohrer and Vsevolod Gaidamak also scored, both on goal streaks from previous games.

Fresh off of a star performance at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, Vinzenz Rohrer made it a 3-1 game in the third period on a power play.

Brady Stonehouse scored twice for the second straight game. Stonehouse stole the puck off a face-off, flew down the left wing side and rifled a quick shot past Michael Simpson.

Saturday's Game Recap

The Barber Poles are on a three-game win streak, after an exciting shootout-ending game.

Goaltender Max Donoso recorded his first win, and was accompanied by goal scoring teammates Luca Pinelli, Alex Johnston, Will Gerrior and Jack Matier.

With Musty needing to score to keep the Wolves alive, Donoso came up with a spectacular glove save, securing his first win, and his teams third straight.

Its an amazing feeling, said Donoso of his first victory in the OHL. The futures bright for our team here. Weve got a lot of young guys, but its not stopping us. We had a rough patch there a month ago, but every team has those. Were out of it, and were good to go.

Will Gerrior's First OHL Goal

Will Gerrior scored his first OHL goal bringing the 67's game aginsts the Wolves to 4-3 in the second period.

I was pretty excited after the goal, said Gerrior with a smile. Playing with Rohrer and Gaidamak really made it easier to play out there, for me. So it was great playing with them, and Im obviously very excited about the goal.
