UP FIRST Everything announced at the Game Awards 2023 Hosted by Geoff Keighley, it was a big night at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles Some of the biggest games of the last few years battled it out for the top prize amid a varied string of announcements at the Game Awards on Thursday night. Baldur’s Gate 3 emerged with six wins, including Game of the Year and Best Performance for Neil Newbon. Alan Wake 2, which had the same number of nominations as Baldur’s Gate 3, received three awards and stole the show with the Herald of Darkness live performance. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT Much-desired iPhone design feature may not arrive until 2027 Patience is required if you're waiting for a full display without any cutouts Respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed last year that an iPhone with an all-screen appearance could arrive with next year’s iPhone 16, though others have since suggested that it may take several more iterations of the handset before Apple is able to make the change. In the latest development, a report from a South Korean news site this week claimed that an Apple supplier there has started to develop an under-display camera that could lead to the first iPhone with a display uninterrupted by the Dynamic Island or some other smaller cutout. It’s been suggested that as a stepping stone to a full display, Apple will first place the FaceID technology beneath the screen, followed by the camera a year or two later, with current forecasts pointing to a full display arriving with the iPhone 19 in 2027 ... | |
