And a £100,00 fund-raising drive has been launched for a Bobby Ball statue in Lytham, following the death of the comedy icon.
But it's not all good news today as vandals have trashed a marquee due to be visited by Santa at a Leyland primary school and police have responded to the sudden death of a man in Fulwood this morning.
We are reporting the latest Covid-19 statistics, as we do every day, and the latest on the vaccination programme.
Plus we have reported after a row broke out over plans to fell a large oak tree in Ingol, Preston.
