Join us from the comfort of your own homes for our weekly children's program, Art Explorers!
Our featured story will be Tar Beach, Faith Ringgold's beautiful story of family, flying, and dreaming, inspired by her original quilt artwork. After reading, we will create our own fabric drawing.
Art Explorers is geared towards infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but big brothers and sisters are welcome to join and create art with us!
This project will be open-ended so children can use their imaginations to create. |
Museum School New Youth Classes
CAM announces youth art classes! Taught by Georgia Mastroieni and September Krueger, virtual youth classes are designed to meet the needs of home-school students and traditional students outside of the classroom. Each session combines current exhibitions with works in our permanent collection to address a variety of themes. Our program allows for inquiry and discussion of the arts and artists, and is aligned with North Carolina standards. Your child will explore different media over the 8-week session for either elementary or middle school groups - and have a lot of fun! |

Join our sponsor AARP for a fun night of virtual trivia via Zoom tonight at 7 PM! AARP is hosting a fun-filled evening of friendly competition, laughter and community! Join us to connect with members and guests across the country as they test our knowledge while learning about how AARP is supporting their members and the 50-plus community.
They will be playing Live Trivia, where teams compete against one another on a variety of categories such as pop culture, sports, history and AARP. The winning team will receive a prize! Read the rules of the game here.
So, register now to play trivia with AARP members and friends across the country! You do not need a team to participate! Teams are randomly assigned once you join the game.
