"By putting forward the hands of the clock you shall not advance the hour.”—Victor Hugo. Doctor Jim O'Connell, President, Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program

Street Doctor

Jim O’Connell is a street doctor, caring for homeless people on the sidewalks, benches, and bridges where they live. After medical school and residency, he thought his training was over, but found it just beginning. He tells us about slowing down and opening up, and how losing his stethoscope made him a better doctor.
