Chinese global telecommunications giant Huawei is claiming it is the first mobile device manufacturer in the world to use an AI-powered smartphone to drive a car.

Government functionaries in many countries appear to be obsessed with the idea that breaking encryption will lessen the quantum of crime – Australia's Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton is but the latest to voice the need for access to encrypted communications.

Japanese information and communication technology company Fujitsu has introduced biometric authentication software for Windows PCs, with the product being available right away in the Oceania region.

The Los Angeles Times website is serving a cryptocurrency mining script which appears to have been placed there by malicious attackers, according to a well-known security expert.

Security firm Recorded Future claims that the use of counterfeit code-signing certificates is on the rise, but is of the view that this will not become too common due to the cost of the certificates.
