TODAY'S POEM A megaphone to broadcast your thoughts |
|

I've often mused what would happen if we each had megaphones attached to our heads that broadcast all our thoughts, both positive and negative, so that the world could hear them. That would, I think, cause us to clean up our thoughts which would, in turn, bring us more personal peace, better health and longer lives. So here's my poem, written in Dr. Seuss style. |

Oh, the thoughts that you think, in your head, in a blink!
What if I took a contraption, a thingamajink?
A megaphone grand, with a curious prank,
And fastened it tight, to your head, with a spank!
Every thought, every notion, in constant commotion,
Would boom to the world, a loud, thought-filled ocean!
Your joys and your fears, your laughter, your tears,
For all to hear! Would it bring you cheers or fears?
If this sounds quite dreadful, a thought-broadcasting bedlam,
Then why let those thoughts, in your head, make a mayhem?
For negative notions, like grumpy old potions,
Make your body quite sick, with unhappy commotions!
So clean out your mind, leave bad thoughts behind,
Let peace and good vibes, be all you can find.
Show the world what you think, with a positive link,
And watch your good health, in a joyful, bright blink! Smiles, Gary |

SKIN BURNS VANISH IN MERE HOURS |

WHAT IS A DOCTOR? WHAT IS A PATIENT? Did you ever see the movie "Patch Adams" starring Robin Williams? In it Patch is an unconventional doctor who injects outrageous humor with unusual compassion in pursuit of healing patients. As a result he lost his medical license, but continued to "be a doctor." In this short YouTube clip, he is called before a review board to justify his actions. I hope you find his inspirational response as "on-point" as I did. |
